Everest Classic Trek is ever since the days of early climbing expeditions, Sagamartha (Everest) at 8,848m has had a lure of its own, drawing climbers to scale it and trekkers to gaze on its icy faces. The trek to base camp of the Mt. Everest has become one of the most popular trekking routes in Nepal, yet few people return from the trek unmoved by the experience of being right in among the highest peaks in the world.

This fascinating trek offers a wonderful opportunity to climb Kalapathar Top (5,545m), overlooking the Everest base camp area, superb view of the highest mountains including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu etc, and to interact with the indigenous people. It follows the same route taken in 1952 by Sir Edmund Hillary and Mr. Tenzing Sherpa. After a seven hours scenic drive to Jiri, we follow spectacular route via Solukhumbu area through the heart of fine Sherpa villages, each village having something new to offer. It offers an ample chance to explore beautiful forest, farming country sides and several monasteries situated at high elevation on the way to Lukla. Once we have passed Lukla, we climb on to Namche, the main trading village of the Khumbu area continuing via Thyangboche monastery to Pherche and Lobuche.

The Everest Classic Trek has got several numbers of attractions, chief of which are the spectacular scenery, the unique culture of the Sherpa people of the Solukhumbu, the region where Mt. Everest and its attendant lesser peaks are located.

Much of Everest Classic Trek takes place at high altitude, and so we spend a few days at the beginning of the trek acclimatising. This is vital in order to ensure a successful trek.
