Permits are an essential part of this trek. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance for the Kang La Pass Trek with Thorong La Pass is not just a precaution but an essential aspect of ensuring a safe and worry-free journey. It's a combination of the Nar Phu Valley trek (Kang La Pass) and the Annapurna Circuit trek (Thorong La Pass), offering a comprehensive journey through diverse landscapes.

                                      • The combined trek usually lasts around 18 days, allowing for acclimatization and exploration.

                                      • The ideal months are March to May (spring) and September to November (fall), when weather and visibility are generally favorable.

                                      • Yes, you'll need both the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) for the Annapurna Circuit and a special permit for Nar Phu Valley, which will be obtained in Kathmandu.

                                      • The trek is moderately to strenuously challenging due to high altitudes and steep ascents. Adequate physical fitness and acclimatization are crucial.

                                      • Accommodation is primarily in teahouses along the trail, which provide basic amenities and meals. Advance booking is recommended during peak seasons.

                                      • Yes, due to the high altitudes, proper acclimatization and recognizing the signs of altitude sickness are essential.

                                      • While it's not possible to trek independently, hiring a local guide is recommended for navigation, cultural insights, and safety.

                                      • Be prepared for changing weather conditions. Layering is crucial, including warm clothing, waterproof outer layers, and sturdy hiking boots.

                                      • The trek offers a blend of cultures from different regions, with encounters in traditional villages and monasteries and interactions with local residents.
