Some parts of the trek require some physical endurance, but overall, it's a moderately difficult hike that's good for beginners with a moderate level of fitness. The hike goes up through a variety of landscapes, from lush woods to rocky paths, and ends at High Camp, which is at an elevation of about 4,500 meters. You can safely get through these challenges, though, if you get used to the altitude and pace of the hike and have the help of experienced guides. The choice to take a helicopter back to Pokhara after reaching High Camp is very convenient. The trip back is quick and scenic, and trekkers can skip the descent by taking the helicopter.

                  Physical Fitness

The Mardi Himal Luxury trek needs moderate physical fitness. While it is not as demanding as some of the region's longer and higher altitude treks, you should expect to walk for several days on uneven terrain with climbing and lowering slopes. The journey includes daily walks lasting 4 to 6 hours, with some high sections. To enjoy the path comfortably, you'll need a basic level of cardiovascular fitness, leg strength, and stamina. Regular walking, jogging, or trekking in the months preceding your trek might help your body prepare for the physical demands of the expedition. Staying hydrated, eating well, and paying attention to your body's signals during the trek will also help you have a better time and be more successful.

                  Alttitude Sickness and prevention

Altitude sickness, commonly known as acute mountain sickness (AMS), may occur to trekkers during the Mardi Himal Luxury hike, particularly when they go to higher elevations. Symptoms such as headaches, nausea, dizziness, and weariness can interfere with your hiking experience. However, there are numerous steps you may take to avoid altitude sickness and have a safe and pleasurable journey:

                  • As you go up, take breaks and go up slowly so your body has time to get used to the higher elevations.
                  • Don't get dehydrated. Staying refreshed by drinking lots of water can help altitude sickness.
                  • Consume a well-balanced diet that is rich in electrolytes and carbohydrates to provide your body with energy for the trek.
                  • Medication: You might want to bring medicine like acetazolamide with you to help avoid or ease the symptoms of altitude sickness, but talk to a doctor first.
                  • Listen to your body. Pay heed to any signs of altitude sickness and communicate with your guide if you are uncomfortable.
                  • If you are really feeling sick from the high altitude, you can use the luxury trek's chopper return option. This will get you to a lower elevation quickly and safely so you can get the medical care you need.
