Tengboche Monastery Trek starts from Kathmandu on a regular flight to Lukla. From Lukla, you will trek towards Phakding on the very same day. The next day, you will trek to Namche Bazaar and stay overnight. From Namche, you will trek to Khumjung and the following day, you will head towards Tengboche and explore the place.

While exploring Tengboche, you will witness Tengboche monastery and monuments, antique statues, paintings, scriptures, and rivers, explore flora and fauna, panoramic view of mountain peaks like Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku, and Ama Dablam. You will also get a chance to interact with local Sherpa people in the villages.

On the following day, the Heli will take you to Kala Patthar and land for a few minutes where you can enjoy the mountain peaks and their surroundings. After a few minutes of exploring, the helicopter will take you back to Lukla. As you will have more time in Lukla, you can explore the markets or go for short hikes. In the evening, you will have Nepalese or foreign-styled food and stay overnight. On the final day, you will fly back to Kathmandu on a regular aircraft flight.

This Tengboche Monastery trek starts with a short dramatic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. It takes around 40 minutes to reach Lukla. Upon reaching Lukla, you will start trek to Phakding enjoying the natural beauty which takes around 3 to 4 hours to complete. Stay overnight at a hotel/lodge in Phakding.

Today, you will be heading towards Namche Bazaar after having breakfast in the morning. En route, you will cross the Dudh Koshi river, wander through the pine forest, cross suspension bridges, witness waterfalls, and other interesting natural and cultural components. During the trekking to Namche Bazaar, you will get a chance to witness some glimpse of Kusum Kanguru (6,369 meters), Nuptse (7,879 meters), Thamserku (6,608 meters). You will also have the very first glimpse of Mount Everest (8848.86 meters) which is hidden behind Lhotse and Nuptse. The whole trek takes around 3 to 4 hours to complete. During the trek to Khumjung, you will have panoramic views of mountain peaks like Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Lhotse. When you reach Khumjung, you will see monasteries, hospitals, schools, and many other major highlights of the area. Spend a night at a tea house or hotel in Khumjung.

    After completing the morning routine, you will start the journey to Tengboche. The pathway to Tengboche falls on the riverbank of Phungi Thanga town, from where there is a steep hike to Tengboche village. You will walk through the rhododendron forest with a beautiful view of Ama Dablam mountain. It takes about 5 to 6 hours to complete the trail distance. You will stay overnight in a local tea house or lodge at Tengboche.

    This morning, you will visit the Kala Patthar from Tengboche via helicopter. You will have a ground time of around 10 minutes to explore around the viewpoint and enjoy the sight of mountainous topography. Then, you will fly back to Lukla on the same helicopter. The total time to complete this helicopter round tour is around 60 minutes. Once you are back in Lukla, you can wander around Lukla valley exploring one of the most dangerous airports of the world, Lukla airport, temples and shops, enjoying delicious food items, and so on.
