Dingboche Village Trek

Dingboche village trek initially starts from Kathmandu to Lukla with a regular flight. From Lukla, you will be trekking toward Phakding on the same day. The very next day, you will be heading towards Namche Bazaar and resting for the day. From Namche Bazaar, you will trek towards Khumjung and the following day to Tengboche. From Tengboche, you will head towards Dingboche village and explore around for the remaining parts of the day.

While strolling around the village, you will get a chance to explore the lush green forest, can see Pangboche village, observe some Chortens and mani walls, and also the stunning views of mountain peaks and ranges. Apart from that. you will also have the moments to interact with the local people and know about their daily lifestyle, culture, tradition, norms, and values. On the next day, the helicopter will take you to Kala Patthar which will offer dramatic aerial views of mountain chains alongside the highest eight thousand - Mount Everest.     Today is the day to start the journey. The company representative will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Tribhuvan International Airport from where you will fly to Lukla in a small plane. During the flight to Lukla, you will fly over beautiful settlements, mountains, greenery, temples, and more. Once you reach Lukla, you will have some delicious food and start the trek toward Phakding. During your trek, you will hike up and down hills, muddy steeps, beautiful villages with the view of mountain peaks like Gongla and Kusum Kanguru. Stay overnight at the hotel or lodge in Phakding.

      After breakfast in the morning, you will start your trek. On this day, you will wander through rhododendron and blue pine forests and other areas which can be a wonderful experience, especially in the middle of spring. After a few hours of walking, you will reach Monjo, the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. Once in Monjo, you can have some snacks or buy things if you want, visit the Sherpa Cultural Museum and the Everest National Park Museum. From there, you will walk uphill to Namche Bazaar with the first magnificent view of Mount Everest (hidden behind Lhotse-Nuptse) neighboring Lhotse, Kusum Kanguru, and other peaks. Stay overnight at a hotel or lodge in Namche Bazaar.

        Today we will take a short walk towards Khumjung. After completing all the morning routines and having breakfast, you will start your journey. You will walk uphill through the local settlements with beautiful views of mountains, brown hills, greenery, and more. Khumjung village can be reached after an hour's walk. After reaching Khumjung you will have lunch and visit Khumjung Monastery, Khunde Monastery, Sir Edmund Hillary School and Hospital, and many other places. You can also explore the Hotel Everest view at Syangboche. In the evening, you will stay overnight at the tea house and rest for the day.

        Maximum Altitude: 3,790 meters (Khumjung)

        Attractions of the day: Khumjung monastery, Khunde monastery, Sir Edmund Hillary hospital, and school, Hotel Everest View, farmland, settlements, and more.

          Today, you will be heading towards Tengboche. The trail to Tengboche falls on the riverbank of Phungi Thanga town from where you will hike upward to Tengboche village. During your trekking to Tengboche, you will be walking through the rhododendron forest, high hills, with a beautiful view of Ama Dablam. Upon reaching Tengboche, you will explore Tengboche monastery, Sagarmatha National Park, and its head office, visit some fine hotels and taste delicious foods too. Stay overnight at a hotel/ lodge in Tengboche.

          Walking time: 5 to 6 hours
          Maximum altitude: 3,860 metres (Tengboche)

            Today you will be trekking toward Dingboche after having breakfast in the morning. On the trail, you'll walk 30 minutes down the river, through the lush green forest, to the waterway, and take a steady step to Pangboche, the highest settlement area in the valley. Here, you can observe some Chortens and mani walls along with an amazing view of Ama Dablam. In the evening, you will continue to climb Pheriche from where you can take a really moderate walk to Imja valley. Heading towards the end of the day with an uphill climb, you will reach Dingboche. Stay overnight at tea houses or lodges in Dingboche.

              This morning, you will visit the Kala Patthar viewpoint from Dingboche by helicopter. You will have about 10 minutes of ground time to explore the scenery and enjoy the view of the mountain topography. After that, you will return to Lukla in the same helicopter. The total time to complete this helicopter round tour is about 60 minutes. After returning to Lukla, you can wander around Lukla village, enjoy the world's most dangerous airport - Lukla Airport, temples and shops, local markets, and have delicious food. Stay overnight at a hotel or lodge in Lukla.
