Then, you can transfer to Dhanpus or Lauruk, from where the balloon ride will take off.
Hot air ballooning was started a long time ago but it was stopped due to some reasons. But now it has again started with a bang offer of getting chance of flying 5 times a day i.e. balloon is permitted to fly for 5 times a day (but initially it will fly for two times: morning and afternoon). It will fly 500m above the Pokhara city providing the spectacular view of mountains like Annapurna range, the Fishtail (Machhapuchhre), Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, Lamjung Himal, lakes, forests, and as a whole valley. The best months for a hot air balloon flight are September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May which excludes the months of monsoon season (June, July, August). Do you want to see an entire Pokhara city rolling beneath you? If yes, then hot air ballooning in Nepal (Pokhara) is the best way to do so. I can say this because of my experience collected from it. I caught the stimulating view of the whole lake city under my foot. The experience of sitting in the basket and swinging in the air was really amazing. The more I flew higher, the more my heart was beating. It gave me both a thrilling and exciting experience of my life. It made my days in Nepal really amazing. Furthermore, I would like to thank my trip organizing team of Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition for making my journey in Nepal this much reliable and worthy. Also, special thanks to my guide aka driver aka brother Krishna. Highly recommended.
Flying on the sky of naturally Nepal was an amazing experience. The adrenaline rush for this sport was unbelievable. I was so eager to watch Pokhara city, typically the lake city of Nepal swinging in the sky and finally, I experienced that. I saw mountains like Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, etc., along with the lake and temple. I actually did n’t catch the names of them. It was quite difficult for me to utter. But the place was full of natural beauty and peace. I enjoyed it a lot. I will surely return back to enjoy this sport again in near future. And next time, I will come with my friends and hope to catch you up for my next adventure. See you soon Nepal Trek.
Wow what an amazing journey was that in Nepal. I truly enjoyed the trekking in Nepal. After I completed my trek to Everest Base Camp, I had some spare days. So I thought of utilizing that time. The news of starting of Hot air ballooning in Pokhara was raising day by day. I was in Kathmandu, so I researched about it for some time, and booked it from the same company with whom I went for trekking i.e. Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition. They provided me with a guide who showed me the way to another destination, to the ballooning site. We moved to Pokhara by road transportation. I enjoyed the scenario on the way too. We reached Pokhara and settled there, had dinner and slept. Early in the morning, woke up and moves to Lauruk from where I took flight. I flew with other people sitting in the basket. At first, I was scared but later all went normally. I started enjoying it. I saw many attractive features that caught my eyes and mind. It was a memorable journey for me, with back to back balloon ride after an awesome trek. Thank NTA, for making it possible.
I did hear about hot air ballooning in Nepal a lot by my friends, but I never got the chance to get close to it. So during my summer holiday, I finally planned it and went for it. I landed to Nepal alone. I had already booked a company Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition, who would have my hotel, food, and accommodation booked. As soon as I landed Nepal, I along with my manager aka guide (from the company) met with each other and had lunch. Soon after lunch, we took another flight and moved to Pokhara. After 40 minutes, we reached Pokhara. He settled me down in booked hotel. I freshen up and took rest for the remaining day, but walked along at evening time. Next day, we went to Dhampus, from where I took my balloon ride. I was arranged in a group of 5 people, with me the number became 6. Finally, the legendary time came. I stood on the basket, and after about 5 minutes, we started to move upward and upward. Genuinely, we were flying. It was morning time, so I got the proper view of sunrise. I also observed lake, mountain, and temple, along with the people on the ground. I took lots of photos and videos. I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you, NTA for making my dream ride successful and memorial.
