This peak can be climbed by anyone who has not climbed any peaks before. This peak can be climbed in any season throughout the year but it depends upon the climbers and trekkers which season they prefer to climb. This peak is above 6000 meters and demands some physical involvement from the climbers. The view seen from the majestic peak can be mind-blowing as we can view many top ranges of mountains which will make the scenario and the case very beautiful. Snowy trials and the rocky path are one of the main aspects of this peak trekking which makes the journey very entertaining and memorable. The breathtaking air, that you feel in your whole body and bones will make you happier and more relaxed.

This trip also brings an awesome mountain view from the top. since the summit day involves walks on the rocky and steep path and snow trail. It is pretty much challenging and interesting at the same time as you definitely enjoy the walk towards the top without much technical involvement including lots of fun out there.

The Island peak climbing itinerary is for adventurers who want to do the island peak climbing straight without going to Everest Base Camp or any other detours. while cutting the days to the base camp or any alternative way as this particular trip can be done in fewer days with full enjoyment over there.

After breakfast, we will take early flight to Lukla from the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport. We land at Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. It is one of the best air routes of the world that is surrounded by mountains. Here we meet our trekking guides and make trekking arrangements to Phakding. Lukla to Phakding is a short trek. You will look around the place and see nearby monastery in Phakding. We will spend night at a lodge in Lukla.

Trekking to Namche Bazaar from Phakding is very interesting. We cross beautiful pine forest and walk along Dudh Koshi River to reach Namche Bazaar. On the way you will get chance to see Mt. Thamserku. If weather is kind then you can also get clear glimpse of Mt. Everest. Our walk ends at the entrance of Sagarmatha National park in Namche Bazaar. It is a gateway to Mt. Everest and main commercial area of the region. While reaching Namche we will cross five suspension bridges and one of them being Hillary Suspension Bridge.

Today is a rest day. We will move around and observe Namche Bazaar today. You will have a chance to get acquainted with Sherpa culture. You can also visit local museum here. It gives you a lot of information about Sherpa people, their culture and Mount Everest. However, if you prefer a bit longer hike then you can go to Khumjung village. It takes you around six hours to reach this village from Namche Bazaar. Here you can visit Edmund Hillary School and Khumjung Monastery. This monastery is famous for housing the head of the Yeti.

Tengboche is our next destination from Namche Bazaar. After breakfast we move towards Phunki. From Phunki, we ascend towards Tengboche. Tengboche Monastery in Tengboche is the largest monastery of Everest region. Tengboche is almost at the heart of Sagarmatha National Park—UNESCO listed World heritage Site. From here one can view mountains at 360 degree namely Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. We will spend night at Tengboche.

Our next destination is Dingboche. After enjoying Tengboche and capturing pictures of its beautiful landscapes we begin our walk through birch and rhododendron forests. We reach Debuche. We cross Imja River to reach Pangboche. We visit Pangboche Monastery. We further move and enter Imja Valley. We reach at the confluence of Lobuche River. After a descend trail we climb up for Dingboche where we will stay at night.

Many peaks like Ama Dablam, the ridge of Nuptse-Lhotse, Tawache and Chalotse surrounds us at Dingboche. Before walking in glacier moraines towards Chhukung we pass through stone walls and Imja River. While on walk at Bibre village we see Island Peak rising towards sky. After walking for another half an hour from Bibre we reach Chhukung where we put off for the night.

It is a rest day today. In order to adjust ourselves in high altitude we practice Chhukung Ri climbing. This peak is located exactly above Chhukung village. The view of Ama Dablam and Amphu Labsa peaks from here gives heavenly feeling. After spending some time here we get back to Chhukung where we will spend our night.

Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp is a steep trail. First, we head towards south and take eastward direction and following winding course we reach at south-west face of Island Peak where we spend our night.

Our peak climbing guides will take your class regarding peak climbing after breakfast. They will tell you about peak climbing techniques, gear using techniques including ropes. Peak climbing training is not compulsory but to boost up your confidence and for your safety it is essential. We will enjoy and spend night at the camp.

Today, we wake up at early in the morning, at 2 am, and have our breakfast before we begin our climb. We do this in order to reach at the peak before noon so that the strong wind which starts blowing at noon may not catch us barring our summit. Initially, course to Island Peak climbing is a bit steep and sandy followed by grassy route which further leads us to boulder strewn. As we move forward, the slope gets narrowed entering to steep rock channel. We need ropes at some places which is tied by our guides. After reaching at the peak we take photographs and enjoy the adventure for some time. We get back to the Base camp where we spend our successful night.

We retrace the same course today while descending through Khumbu River. We will see beautiful Sherpa villages, Orsho and Shomare on the way. We can visit Gompa located at Upper pangboche by taking another route. This monastery is understood as oldest holy Buddhist site of Khumbu region.  The regular way will take us to Pangboche village. It is beautiful village surrounded by Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kangtaiga, Kongde, and Imja Tse River. We will stay overnight at pangboche.

Following the same path, we move downward to Imja River and move upward for Tengboch where we will have our lunch. After crossing Dudh Koshi River and gentle walk we reach Sansa. If we are lucky enough then we can also see snow leopards and mountain goats on the way. Finally, we reach at Namche Bazaar where we will spend our night.

Trail to Lukla from Namche Bazaar is a steeply downward trek. We cross few suspension bridges before reaching Lukla where we will halt for the night.

From Lukla we catch early flight to Kathmandu. At Kathmandu you can take some rest or roam around the city. In the evening, NTA will offer you Farewell dinner.

Your journey ends today as you pack your baggage for your destination. Our staff will drop you at the airport.
