You will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will observe more than 500 years old Nepalese art and culture. Swayambhunath also is known as Monkey Temple is a popular tourist destination that you will visit. Pashupatinath (Hindus’ greatest temple) is another place you will visit on this day. Here you will be able to know about Hindu traditions, culture, and festivals. Boudhanath, which is in walk-in distance from Pashupatinath, will be another spot of your visit. It is one of the largest stupas of South Asia. After strolling around these places, you will return back to the hotel. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
  • Day 03:Sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur/Overnight in Nagarkot This day, we move towards another most significant UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal, i.e. Patan Durbar Square. It is a historic place that is rich in arts and architecture. Besides Patan Durbar, Krishna Temple is another attraction to watch due to its typical ancient architecture. It is said that the temple was built by carving a single rock. The square is full of ancient places and temples and shrines noted for their exquisite carving. Patan is also famous for Patola sarees, one can see this exquisite fabric being woven. You can try and buy them as well. Another spot of the day is Bhaktapur. It is the traditional Newar City with its own culture and lifestyle. Here, you will roam around Nyatapole Temple, The Golden Gate and 55 Window Palace. These historic attractions will lure tourists from inside. Bhaktapur is famous for 'Juju Dhau' (Royal Sweet Yogurt), which you can have at any corner of the Bhaktapur area. Also, potteries, artistic wood carving, and Newari foods add spur to the journey.

After lunch in Bhaktapur, you will drive towards Nagarkot. Nagarkot is the hill station in Kathmandu Valley that offers the best sunrise and sunset view from its viewpoint. Also, the views are panoramic and magnificent from some Nagarkot hotels' balcony and terrace. It takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Nagarkot from Bhaktapur. The area is filled with lush greenery and beautifully carved houses and hotels/lodges. Reaching Nagarkot Hotel is followed by check-in and rest for moments. You can walk along the streets of Nagarkot in evening as well, but it remains at your choice. Stay overnight at Nagarkot.
  • Day 04:View Sunrise at Nagarkot and Drive to Pokhara Early in the morning, we will move towards the Viewpoint for the sunrise view. From here, one can observe the beautiful ripe sun and enjoy the series of harmonious mountains. We start the day at about 04:30 AM and drive to the viewpoint. But the time differs according to the sunrise time in the morning. We return back to the hotel and have breakfast. After that, we pack the bags and drive towards Pokhara. It takes around 5 to 6 hours to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu. On-track, you will see Trishuli River, green hills and small settlements (villages) by the side of highways. Upon our arrival in Pokhara you feel as if giant mountain walls welcoming you in an eternal way. We will have our lunch on the way to Pokhara at the trail-side hotel. You will stay at the pre-booked hotel in Pokhara. You can spend your time strolling in the streets of this lake city and also enjoy the nightlife of Pokhara. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
  • Day 05:Pokhara Sightseeing On this day, early in the morning, we head towards Sarangkot. It is a hill from where we can enjoy Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges on the north side and observes the whole upside-down view of Pokhara Valley. Watching the sunrise from this place is an amazing experience of life. The way the sun kisses the snow-capped peak is not expressed in words. Now we move back to Pokhara and explore the amazing and popular landmarks of this lake city. Some of the places that we visit are Davis Falls, Shiva Cave, and Mahendra Cave. We also do boating in Phewa Lake (largest lake of the city) and visit the Bindhyabasini Temple (the temple is located at the center of the lake). These are the major attractions of the day. Also, we visit the International Mountain Museum (IMM) where one can view the remarkable historic collections of the brave Nepalese and also the dresses, lifestyle and cultural blends. Sometimes intuition, or gut instinct, leads you to make the right decision. I met marketing staff’s of NTA in the streets of Thamel and like many others, he gave me a business card and invited my husband and me to visit their office and discuss our travel plans. There are so many touts on the streets of Thamel but NTA’s staff open friendly manner won the day. After entering the office we found Manager is thorough, his services reliable and very affordable and his staff and a team of guides and porters are friendly, trustworthy and committed to caring for their clients. They skillfully organize all the details for a successful trip - pickups, buses, hotels, tour activities, a checklist for trekking requirements and, of course, wonderful treks. His team organized an everything for us like- Chitwan National Park, Pokhara, The Annapurna Base Camp Trek and the Helambu trek.  What an experience! Chitwan was amazing and our only regret was that we did not allow more time there after our organized activities to relax and explore the local villages more. Yes, we were tired at the end of both treks but every aching muscle and sore toe was well worth it. We trekked through some of the most spectacular scenery that either of us has ever seen. The climax was, of course, Annapurna Sanctuary. It is a very special place and definitely a fitting home for the gods!  The old adage holds out – no pain, no gain. We felt blessed! Trekking is a great way to get a real feel of Nepal, its countryside, its villages, its people and its magnificent mountains. I am so glad that we have had the opportunity and time to have had these wonderful experiences. A big thanks you, once again, to Manager, to our wonderful guide and friend on both treks, and our incredible porters. Don't leave it to the intuition of gut instinct like I had to, but take my advice and put your trust in the hands of Manager and the wonderful staff at NTA.
