Siddha Gufa Caving is the largest and most popular caving destination in Nepal. It provides the astounding experience inside the darkness of the cave. Siddha Gufa is the largest cave in Nepal and second largest in Asia with 437m depth and 50m height. Being the largest cave in the whole country, it provides the best experiences of encounter with dark environment, bats chattering, mice moving and many more. Its interior is full of stalactites and stalagmites. It is also known as the place from where Siddha baba got his enlightenment. Trekking to this cave from Bandipur is interesting and most popular which takes about one and a half hour hike each way if it’s muddy. Alternatively, you can also march uphill to the cave from Bimalnagar (which lies on Prithvi Highway). It will take just 45 minutes to reach the cave. Dirt path and stone path are the only way to reach there which are slippery so it’s very necessary to take every step with care. The path is being managed and maintained to make it easy for travelers to explore around. It is also essential and somehow compulsory to hire a local guide as well to know more about the cave.

: I went on a family vacation with my wife and 2 young kids in Nepal. We decided to explore the adventure of Nepal so choose caving adventure for our destination place. For this adventure activity, Nepal Trek Adventure Team helped us in every possible way. They provided us with every information and great service of food, accommodation, gears, and most importantly, a guide, who could lead us through the way. We loved their service a lot and that friendly environment was just heartwarming. The owner (Binod) and the guide (Krishna) are so active that you yourself will get energized watching their energy and dedication towards their work. If next time we visit Nepal then we will surely get connected with NTA Family only. There is no way, we gonna look for other trekking and tour agencies. Thank you, all the team members from the bottom of heart! Kudos!
I returned back from my Annapurna Base Camp Trek last month. While I was in Pokhara, I had a second thought about exploring adventure activity. I consulted with my guide, and he told me about different adventure activities, and the safest was caving. I wanted to do a safe but interesting experience though. We moved from Pokhara and stopped in Bandipur. It is what they called. Here we were going to do caving activity. We headed on and on for about an hour and reached there. We showed the entrance slip to the doorman and moved on. The cave was dark enough. It was hard enough to see things there, but after some time, we could see. We used torchlight too. The experience we got was amazing. Darkness was so beautiful there. Some steps were slippery but were enjoyable and full of fun. Thank you, Rajan, for organizing this caving practice so immediately and so nicely! Just enjoyed the trip a lot! Every moment spent there, exploring the cave and the elegance was more than my imagination. Highly recommended adventure and of course the Nepal trek Team!
I am so content with this awesome caving experience which is simply completed a couple of days prior. We have gathered such a significant number of recollections which will be with us everlastingly in a lifetime. The spot just makes me feel I am in the thriller movie, but it was awesome though. By and by, I will jump at the chance to say thanks to Mr. Binod for the extraordinary administrations he orchestrates me and my companions throughout the trip. What's more, all around cordial and decent guide Mr. Krishna to give us generally amazing organization all through this caving trip. They ensure that we make the most of our trip and feel great in the entire adventure. My companions are such a great amount of stun in the wake of looking at the best black view before their eyes. They are simply carrying on like little glad children. This is a standout amongst the best trips and experiences until now in my life. And all much gratitude goes to Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition. We will without a bit of doubt advice and recommended everybody to go in this adventure activity with you folks.
I constantly needed to complete a journey to a peaceful place. Furthermore, I was so befuddled how to proceed to begin the journey and after that Nepal Trek, Adventure and Expedition helped me and cleared all my disarray in all respects effectively. They made my wish to visit the cave in Nepal works out as expected in actuality. The course of this Bandipur Siddha Gufa Caving experience is so energizing, however, it is smidgen hard as well. Because of the darkness and slipperiness of the cave trail. I hobnobbed gaining so many experiences and every last bit of it become conceivable by the assistance of Mr. Binod (the proprietor Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition). He furnished us with the best of everything and sent us on this remarkable trip with Mr. Aasish. He was our guide for this trip. He was actually cordial and an exceptionally decent individual. We appreciated his conversation all through the caving as well as roadway experience. I and My beau was simply stunned in the wake of seeing the astonishing perspective on the inside of the cave and everything that came before us. We simply adored this journey and appreciated completely. We will most likely prescribe Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition to everybody since they help you like you are their own family, friends or relatives.
The best seasons to visit Bandipur for Siddha Gufa Caving are autumn and spring. In these seasons, the months included are March, April, May, September, October, and November. In this time, the roadway remains less slippery and less dangerous; and also the way of getting into the cave remains easier and profound. In the winter season, the climate remains much colder. Here, you will need to take extra care of it. In the monsoon season, there will be heavier rainfall that makes the path and the surrounding more dangerous, slippery and landslide-affected. Hence, you can go to caving in these two seasons too (winter and monsoon), but they are not that recommended ones like autumn and spring. You will need to become extra careful and active.
The things that you should carry are the torch lights, helmet, gloves, lighter and candle, hooks and boots, first aid kit, pocket knife, cave-pack, batteries, trash bag, pencil and duct tape, bottle, plastic jars, and so on. There may be lots of things to carry, but these are the most important ones.
You should wear and pack the clothes being known about the climatic condition and different seasonal changes in Nepal. There are altogether 4 seasons in Nepal i.e. autumn, monsoon, spring, and winter. So pack your bags knowing about these seasons and the average temperature committed to these time of year.
During the trip, your food and accommodation facility will be organized in the local teahouse, hotel or lodge. The choice remains on you that what you choose. But in the on-season, the seasonal flow of tourists remain higher so management can be done easily. The regular meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) will be provided by the company. But the extra expenses including other foods rather than regular meals and bar bills will not be on the company’s account. In Kathmandu, you will be settled in 3, 4, 5 starred hotel, on your own wish.
Cash is the major stuff that you should have while traveling anywhere. If you have carried extra cash with you, that’s very good, you are on the safe side. But if you have ATM card and there is no ATM booth at the place you need the money most, that will be the real trouble. In city areas, you will find ATM booths easily, but why to take a chance in other places. Swipe your card, take out money, keep it safely with you and move further for enjoying your wildest experience in Nepal.
