Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour Safety Guidelines

Although it is an amazing experience to fly over the magnificent Annapurna range, safety should always come first. When planning a helicopter journey to Annapurna Base Camp, keep the following important points in mind:

    Before the flight:

    • Consult your doctor. Inform your doctor about your trip and pre-existing medical conditions to determine if it's safe for you to fly.
    • Understand weather conditions: Be aware of weather forecasts and potential cancellations due to snow, fog, or high winds. Keep 2 to 3 spare days in your schedule in case of unforeseen circumstances.
    • Pack appropriately: Wear warm, layered clothing, sturdy hiking boots, and sunglasses. Pack water, snacks, and necessary medications in a carry-on bag.

    During the flight:

    • Follow instructions: Listen carefully to the pilot's pre-flight briefing and follow all safety regulations. This includes wearing your seatbelt and headset properly.
    • Remain seated: Do not stand up or unbuckle your seatbelt during the flight, even for quick photos. Sudden movements can destabilize the helicopter.
