From the moment I arrived in Paro, everything was taken care of so I could just relax and soak in Bhutan’s peaceful, magical surroundings right away. The first two days, they took me to Thimphu's quiet streets, the giant golden Buddha Dordenma with sweeping valley views, and the impressive Tashichho Dzong. Then we crossed Dochula La pass to Punakha. Those rows of chortens, prayer flags, and Himalayan glimpses were breathtaking. Punakha Dzong by the rivers felt warm, serene, and full of history.

The major highlight of this tour was the Tiger’s Nest hike. Walking through pine forests and past waterfalls with mountain views opening up at every step, I felt calm, refreshed, and energised. And getting to Paro Taktsang Monastery was an emotional, almost spiritual moment. The drives were always scenic, the food fresh and delicious (ema and momos became daily highlights), and the hotels were comfy with great views. Even though it was only 5 days, every part felt meaningful, balanced, and well-paced.
