Flying to Lukla had always been my biggest fear, so I almost gave up on trekking to Everest Base Camp. Then I contacted Nepal Trek Adventure, and they suggested the road option. From the very first call, they reassured me that this route was not only safer but also offered a chance to see more of Nepal. They were right. The drive was long but scenic, passing through villages, rivers, and hillsides where children ran to wave at us. It felt authentic, like I was slowly entering the Himalayas instead of being dropped into them by a flight. The trek was challenging but enjoyable because of the extra time to adjust. One of my favorite places to visit was Tengboche Monastery, where I could see monks chanting against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks. When I finally stood at Everest Base Camp, I was proud that I had made it there in my own way without the stress of flying. Nepal Trek Adventure made the whole process simple and gave me the confidence to complete my dream trek.

Due to heavy fog, all regular flights were grounded in Lukla for two days. That’s when I contacted NTA for a Lukla to Kathmandu helicopter flight. The Mardi Himal Luxury Trek–8 Days was a perfect combination of adventure and comfort. Each day brought stunning scenery, from lush forests to snow-capped peaks. Renjo La offered a spectacular sunrise view over Everest and surrounding peaks, while Gokyo Lakes were mesmerizing in their tranquillity. Cho La Pass tested my endurance, but the camaraderie among trekkers made it a fun and memorable challenge. Kongma La was a demanding final pass before reaching Everest Base Camp, where the sheer scale of the Himalayas left me speechless. This trek gave me a perfect balance of adventure, culture, and awe-inspiring landscapes.
