The trek was easy to follow, yet offered some of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen. Trekking through rhododendron forests, crossing charming villages, and finally reaching Poon Hill for the sunrise was magical. Watching the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges turn golden at dawn is something I will never forget.

The trek was well-paced, making it suitable even for beginners like me. Our guide was professional, friendly, and always ensured we were safe and comfortable. The teahouses along the route were cozy, with delicious food and warm hospitality. Despite being a short trek, it gave me a true taste of the Himalayas and Nepalese culture. My 7-day Kathmandu and Chitwan tour with Nepal Trek Adventure was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Taking the Kathmandu to Lukla helicopter flight was one of the smartest decisions I made before starting my Everest Base Camp trek. I had heard countless stories about flight cancellations at Lukla due to weather, and I didn’t want to take the risk of losing days from my tight schedule. The helicopter not only solved that problem but also turned the transfer into a memorable experience. Flying out of Kathmandu, the view quickly changed from city buildings to rolling green hills, rivers, and scattered villages. 

As we got closer to Lukla, the Himalayan peaks appeared right in front of me, and the landscape became even more dramatic. The flight was smooth, the pilot professional, and the landing in Lukla felt much safer than I expected. Instead of worrying about delays, I started my trek on time, relaxed and excited, with an unforgettable flight already part of my adventure.

The scenery was beyond words—lush forests, picturesque villages, and the unbeatable panorama from Poon Hill. I had always dreamed of visiting Gokyo Lakes, and this trek exceeded every expectation. The trail took me through quiet Sherpa villages, pine forests, and high-altitude meadows, giving a true sense of the Himalayan lifestyle. Reaching the turquoise lakes felt magical; the mountains reflecting in the water looked like a painting. Climbing Gokyo Ri at sunrise offered a panoramic view of Everest, Cho Oyu, and Makalu that I’ll never forget. The trek was challenging at times, with cold winds and rocky trails, but every step was worth it. Finishing the journey with a helicopter ride back to Kathmandu was exhilarating; flying over glaciers and peaks allowed me to see the entire region from above. The journey through remote landscapes and small farming villages felt authentic and refreshing compared to more tourist-heavy routes. Arriving at Rara Lake was unforgettable—the vast stretch of turquoise water mirrored the mountains, making it look like a painting come alive. The stillness of the surroundings gave me a sense of peace I hadn’t felt in years.
